Hi and welcome to the Greenwood PTA website,

We’re a group of parents and school staff working together to enhance the school life and learning at Greenwood.

The PTA is a registered charity and we are always looking for volunteers to:

• organise and run events e.g. summer/Christmas fairs, movie nights
• donate items e.g. prizes for raffles, items for sale
• become a class rep e.g. managing a class Whatsapp group, communicating messages
• apply your specialist skills e.g. money management, attending events as a superhero (thanks Spidey!)

Joining the PTA is a great way to meet parents and staff and improve your child’s experience of school. The PTA raises welcome funds for the school through community activities and events. We are keen to build connections beyond the school gates and welcome new voices and ideas. Being part of the PTA is enjoyable and satisfying; you can put your talents to good use, build your confidence and learn new skills. To be involved, contact us at: greenwoodpta18@gmail.com

CLASS REPS

Each class also has a representative and a 'whatsapp' group to provide an easy point of contact for parents and keep them informed of PTA activities. See your class teacher to find out who your rep is and join your group today to avoid missing out!

HOW HAVE WE HELPED SO FAR?

In order for us to support the school and pupils, and provide essential facilities and equipment we organise many fundraising events and activities. These include: Bake sales, Discos, Movie nights and of course our very successful Christmas fair.

All our events have proved extremely popular and funds raised have helped us make a significant difference.

To date we have been able to provide the school with:

• 8 Chromebooks
• Lapsafe storage
• 20 Keyboards & Mice 
• Headphones
• A new Fish Tank in reception
• A smart TV for the new
• Sensory room
• Sensory Garden make-over
• Library make-over

LOOKING AHEAD

We hope to continue to do much more in the future and work on bigger projects such as transforming the school playground and quad areas.
