Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Friday 17th October 2025, children are invited to wear something red and bring in a £1 donation to support this important charity, which works to educate young people about inclusion, kindness and respect.
Let’s show our support and make a powerful statement that racism has no place in our school or community!
Greenwood Primary School has proudly adopted the Halo Code. By adopting the Halo Code, we explicitly protect students and staff who choose to wear their natural hair and protective hairstyles associated with their racial, ethnic and cultural identities.

We hope you enjoy the summer and we look forward to seeing you all in September. We can then finish our display.
While the school is closed for the majority of children from Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice we have put homework on our Learning Zone for your child to work through. Please support them in completing these tasks.

On Saturday 6th July Greenwood hosted its 1st Summer Fair in many years. It was a brilliant day out and enjoyed by our families and many in our local community. Children enjoyed having their faces painted, getting glitter tattoos and having their nails done, beating the goalie, dancing in our Zumba demonstrating and learning Judo moves! There was a range of stalls selling a variety of products as well as delicious food and drink.
Thank you to our amazing PTA to organising such a successful event and for all the staff and volunteers who helped the day to run smoothly.
